It’s a mythical estate ...
The building work began in 1868. 10 years were necessary to achieve the splendid Pommery Estate.
The monumental staircase of 116 steps leads, 30 meters below ground, to a real cathedral. The Pommery cellars were built on ancient “crayères” dug by the Romans 20 centuries earlier.
Each underground gallery was named by Madame Pommery to pay tribute to her customers of whole wide world.
There are currently 20 million bottles in these natural conditions which are ideal for conservation. Among these bottles, the oldest vintages of the House are preserved in our cellars.
Our visitors are guided through the history of the Pommery House, the elaboration process of its Champagnes and an exhibition of contemporary art.”
Organization of receptions : wedding, seminars, Gala Dinner from 20 to 700 people. There is a charge for the visits preferably by appointment.

from Mid-November to the end of March : everyday including week-ends from 10am to 6pm,
closed for annual holiday between Christmas and New Year’s Day
